The skills that I had to develop was video editing on final Cut pro, Motion and Live type. Most of all a new understanding for Mac Computers. And I would have to say that level I was working on is my new standard for what my level should always be at.
ES work…
This was a project that I heard about from a friend that is in Ethnic studies. And being that this is what I hope to do with NMC. That is representing my people and underrepresented minorities in media. I jumped on this project with both feet feeling confident that I can finish in record time! But with scheduling problems, setbacks and having to re-work the pamphlet over and over and over again… I have come to find that my capabilities to stay on top of projects is my ace in the hole. I can make a product I can re work it I can then bring it back have it criticized and then work on it then bring it back. And prove that I can do this work and do it with pride. My plan for this project being that it seems that I will not get it done after class is take the Practicum Class NMC409 and make a deal with the ES department and work for them for a term and get all this done and because I’m taking a Web Design class I can work on their webpage as well which is something they are looking for someone to do for them. And when this is all done I can have a vibrant portfolio that is not the same work as everyone else and I will have highlights of what I want to do and maybe one day with the work I’m doing today I can find a job doing the same things but in a grander scale.
My Card Game…
I have always been a fan of the Yu-Gi-Oh card game, I started making my own cards [proxies] out of indexes cards until my sister told me why I don’t make a card game on my own. Working at it backwards I started making the cards up with no idea on how to use them and having some basic rules in mind. Then I learned Photoshop in college and I picked up my card Game again. The next thing I knew had made up rules [in my head] but because of my shy personality it would take a year for me to start talking about it(the card game). Then I started to talk about it here and their; than I got the opportunity to develop my game in NMC301 so I took advantage of that and worked on the rule book. I know that the rules are over simplified but I think that the more simple a game is the more willing a person will be to play it and like it. I don’t have two decks printed out but I did make some things out of index cards and ran the beta test the only thing is keeping track of how many hit points a card has after a while so I am thinking of utilizing some sort of damage counter for the card game.
Home Town…
When I was back in high school I use to do side projects, for the school’s annual events such as the sports awards and community banquets. I made a scrapbook for my FFA [Future Farmers of America] chapter I got the chance to put my skills to the test against people all over the state, I went to regional’s which was made up of schools that had more developed computer programs and FFA programs when I saw my competition I thought that I wouldn’t do any good. But I won first in regional’s then at state it was the same story but I won first there to, bringing back a first place state trophy to my small school of 300 people. After that I started making more presentations but never showed anyone how to make them as good or as unorthodox as I have. When I was giving the opportunity to go back and show the students of today what I know, I took it knowing that this is a long overdue project. I have been keeping contact with my school but it seems like next term is when they can see me, so I plan to tie this up with the NMC409 Class.
A long time ago a great Professor of mine asked me to maintain a blog for a class assignment.

Project
I had to get in front of class and present the progress of my project to the class the other day. It was already hard to get in front of class, but I was able to speak my mind and present what I have been doing.
Being that my phone is broken I can't seem to get a hold of anyone and don’t know how many people are trying to get a hold of me and I have to use Email for everything.

Media in my world
I get up in the morning to an alarm clock that is also my phone I turn on my computer and log in to YouTube and watch the first few things on the Associated Press feed. Then I get ready and walk out the door with my PSP and my back up iPod. I see something strange while walking to class and I take a photo with the digital camera that I carry on me. I get to class, and start playing video games that I have on my PSP till class starts; then I go eat and use the magnetic strip on the back of my ATM to pay for my food. I go home and check my email, then I do my work and it goes on like that. All around the U.S. for college students the stories are similar. I truly believe that technology is the gift we humans give ourselves to make life more convenient and it is depending on how you make it work for you, and how useful it is to you. I tried to think about how my world would be if I lost any piece of convenience and realized that even though I can live on without it I don’t want to go through that. It’s not that I have a dependency on it I think that I’m use to using tools in my everyday life such as my ancestors did when they used tools to fish and carve I don’t think they thought of their use of tools as dependency on something. Media is the cooperation of Engineers programmers and visionaries that work together and say why not, and Media is the tool that today’s people use.
Well it happened I lost an aspect of my media and am making dew with what I have. And now I can see if I can put my money where my mouth is; I can’t afford a new phone till April so I think that I will have to see what my world will be like without twitter, Texting, Phone Calls, a ease to use digital Planner, Radio, Mp3 player and Voice Recorder. Being that my phone served as all this things and sometimes back up things like a Calculator and a facebook Feed, I know that it’s a very important piece of my everyday convenience.
3 days without a phone later: I got my friend to lend me their phone and I put my Sim Chip in it to see how many texts I had missed so far. I had a few voice messages and 27 missed text not counting the facebook feed stuff. I didn’t want to know how many missed calls so I turned off the phone and gave it back to my friend this is going to be an interesting month.

Reaction to: Obama’s President Obama's First Prime Time Press Conference
As I keep watching the political world I have started to see that it has changed so very much from the ignorance of the past years; we have gone from someone that seemed to be more interested in his wars, Then the words of the people it’s so interesting to see the president talk about small towns he goes to see and how he cares about the people he meets in them.Obama talks about alternative fuels, jobs, health care, he talks about student aid and the need for fire fighters and police in cities and how the kids of the U.S. need to be connected to the internet. I bet the last administration talked about this as well but my memory can only recall the words "Terror" "Mass Destruction" and "They need or want democracy over their" along with a comment on how the past president said "I know the human being and fish can coexist peacefully". I have also been interested in how members of congress are Twittering during speeches; and how many places you can find information about the presidents addresses such as Hulu and youtube and even pirating networks! this rise in new media makes me happy to see that maybe one day my Dream of a free global portable communications device will be seen in my lifetime. Overall in can say with confidence that I support the actions of our Commander and Sheaf, and I thought that I would never say that without the words "use to" in front of that statement.
Anime in America
At first glance you would not be able to tell that I have a big interest in Anime. What is Anime you ask? according to Caroline Seawright a writer for Kunoichi [her webpage had the best definition that I could find] “Anime is the Japanese shortened word for 'animation'. In Japan, 'Anime' would be any animated production, from Disney to Legend of the Over fiend. Anything that is animated, be it Japanese, English or French. Outside Japan, though, 'Anime' tends to refer, specifically, to Japanese animation. In Japan, Anime is a rather popular form of entertainment. It comes in the form of T.V. shows, movies at the cinema as well as direct to video releases (OVA - Original Video Animation). Unlike in the west, Anime has a huge variety of genres - it is not only for children. Nor, on the other hand, is it just sex and violence for adults! Anime is for everybody” that being said I want to add that I didn’t know what Anime was at first but eventually I ended up watching a new series every week when I entered college because the internet was more accessible to me. It’s official definition according to /www.merriam-webster.com “a style of animation originating in Japan that is characterized by stark colorful graphics depicting vibrant characters in action-filled plots often with fantastic or futuristic themes” . The more I got into Anime the more I started to see it all around me from people’s ringtones to their cloths and even their hobbies revolved around Anime; and each time I found people like that it was the last people that I suspected! Being that anime is not mainstream by any means. What I mean by that is you’ll never see an anime advertising on T.V. like in Japan nor would you hear anime songs on the radio here in America. Most of the time from first experience if something is not in English Americans don’t care about it. But after Animes such as Dragonball and Poke’mon were introduced in English, Anime has established a fan base here in America. But has a long way to go from being as big as it is in Japan. I started looking in to it and learned it started in 1917 I was amazed on how far it’s come and the technology needed to make the shows it was equal to the technology used in today’s Disney productions. It’s funny how two different cultures have different looks on what is basically cartoons. I looked in to it and found that a convention is held every year just for Anime here in America called
Sakura-Con; it's held during March and sometimes April in the Washington State convention and Trade Center in Seattle, Washington and had an attendance rate of 13,600 in 2008!

PSP WARS The Hackers Strike back
A long time ago the Sony Company released a product to compete with the well known game boy game device this was the play station portable (PSP). And as soon as it came out it was known as the portable media powerhouse. The capability to play music, movies, wireless internet, photo gallery capabilities and the brand name games that already followed the playstation brand; the PSP hands down earned that name. But the games and movies also had the trademark Sony overpriced price tag attached to it. But the months that followed it's launch hackers learned how to exploit the PSP with Custom firmware which allowed the PSP to play what is known as homebrew applications. Applications such as graphing calculators alarm clocks and emulators, and the cost of the apps… was nothing that’s right after you modified it you can download applications for free on to it. But you had to hack your PSP or the applications could not be used otherwise because they do not exist outside of the hacking community. Needless to say Sony attacked back by updating their PSP and tried to make it un hackable. But these lead in to a back and forth fight with the hackers. Bring forth heros to the hackers cause a programmer by the name of Dark Alex who is known for finding weaknesses in the PSP and exploiting them. Being that there are no real rules to modifying your PSP the only drawback is that your warranty is voided after you do so. The only real problem that Sony has with the Hackers is the piracy of games that is not done by the hacker’s necessarily but by the people that use the hackers programs to be able to play pirated games and movies that Sony would sell. But the hackers also take a shot at Nintendo being that most of the available emulators are for Nintendo games. It seemed that the hackers have won the war for a long time but with the recent introduction of the PSP 3000 the hackers had their work cut out for them. The PSP 3000 was deemed un hackable for the longest time but not until January 13 2009 a group called PSPGen team found a way to hack the 3000 but the how to has not been released to this day in fear that the Sony company would find a way to stop that mod from existing. So the fight goes on between Sony and the cyber world of nick names and teams that do amazing things for nothing but notoriety to this day.

Project
My project has been going grate, if you look at it from the point of how much is getting done and how much I have been working on it. I have not gotten a word back on the workshop I hope to do but I bet it is because I sent something on Friday, the next Is the work for the ES department that is going grate but I need to get the teachers to re film because I need them to talk to the camera as if they were talking to students not about students. As for my rule book its complete the beta testing was fine but I need to rename a few things. Overall I have more than enough confidence that this will all end up grate, but by what I have seen is as long as i have dead lines i can keep my self on top of things.

Reaction To: Where to find free sound effects and royalty-free music
http://www.10000words.net/2008/09/where-to-find-free-sound-effects-and.html
With today’s world; of litigious happy record companies; willing to take any person to the bank for what they call improper use of their copyrighted material. It is good to know that there is something that can be done to keep the record company’s money hungry lawyers off your back. The intended audience for this blog was for anyone that uses music in their media that means DJ’s and AMV makers and even independent movie makers! They can all benefit by reading this blog. Today with AMVs and Remixing is hard to say what can and can’t be used and what a right does someone have over their art and someone else’s copyright. I mean if I make a statue out of Pepsi cans is that statutes Pepsi's or mine? Or if I solder a lot of Xboxes to make one incredibly powerful computer; Or if I mix the songs on the CD’s that I buy to make one CD or play list are those things in violation of some copyright? It’s hard to say what is and is not yours after a while; especially if there’s money to be made for something that you made but it is technically someone’s material. But to bring this all back to this article, music is something we all wonder about. And this was an informative blog about how someone can find free and safe to use music for their projects and new media works. The blog went on to dispel several myths about using sound clips and it head helpful links. Two reasons why I read this article were because I have an interest in getting information that I can pass on to other people and I wanted to know where I could get music that I will not get sued for. A major point in the article was that it is possible to get music you can use for free and not only is it possible but it is easy and free. A personal reflection on the article is that I am happy to know that there are people out there that are willing to work for the greater good of the net distributing free things like this, and there are people like this blogger that distribute information so we can find these people so I am going to do the same and add some links at the bottom.

NMC Project
Day 6
A little disappointed because my video was not good at all to blurry it was rushed and you could see it. I went home happy that the project was not over we all had one week to remake it. And I already had appointment for the week with professors of the ethnic studies department.
Day 7
First day I got up at 8am to get the camera at the library and I went to the office to film the first professor. DAY 8-9 are the same get up early and get the footage that I needed I got an extension on the rental of the camera [got lucky]… I also started making my rule book.
Day10
I was editing most of the day and was invited to go to my home town to help with CAMP (College Assistance Migrant Program) recruitment on the upcoming Tuesday I agreed and was thinking this is the best way to get things going on the workshop idea outside of emails.

NMC project Day 2
I went to my NMC teacher’s office today a few times and I found that she was not there. I didn’t get to run my ideas by her until I got to class. In recent events in my films production class I have to make a video about Oregon State and some faction of it. I also have to make an informational and a poster for the ethnic studies department. I thought that I would put all three things together and make a media package for the ethnic studies department. And because I have to have this done by Monday for my class I’m going to do all this by Monday! I brought up the idea of the work for the ethnic studies department in class and the teacher was all for it. But the problem was; if I finish all this by the estimated time I would have nothing to do till the end of the term. So I asked my teacher if I could make a rule book for class as well. And as if I was given a gift from above she said that was ok! Then I went home and found that I had a post on the class bulletin board it was about my blogs… the teacher like the idea of me going back to my home town and having a work shop… I started to feel guilty and told myself not only have I not been home for months but I have yet to do anything for my community in a long time. So I’m going to do all three. And for any one that says I can’t pull this off; you have not gotten to know me yet ^_^

Reaction to: Pew on Social Media: It's Bigger Than You Think
To start I want to echo the phrase It’s not an afterthought. This article is correct about many things; the first being that social media pages are not an afterthought not by a long shot it’s just like the television or the radio or even the phone when first introduced by their inventers they were treated as toys. This article used the idea of making money and increasing the amount of people that get to one web page. The greatest thing about this article is the idea it put out about news reaching more and more people faster. But when I started thinking about social pages and them being used as a source of revenue.
Then my thoughts on that was of a little offended; it is great that networking sights are going to be used more but the idea of adds popping up and interrupting everything that I do online is a reality that I’m not only facing right now but it’s a reality that is going to get worse and worse. In the start the internet’s networking sights where only for young people to connect with each other, then adults started to use it, the next step is the advertisements came because the adults where the ones with money. This pattern is the same one with the television or the radio or even the phone. This pattern follows the same trends till the society at the time is use to it. Social pages are just now being understood as a serious method of revenue because there are people that have money using them. Capitalism is not a bad thing but the corruption might be all too real one day. And that is only because there is a lot of money to be made on the internet and depending on what direction this generation lets the world of the internet take will help shape what it will be like years from now. It will not take long till the marketing department of some branch wants to take control of sights. I can see Pepsi taking over Facebook and posting ads everywhere and people leaving Facebook starting a new thing then Coke a cola taking over that one. But we can fight back and that is by using that initial idea of media news and informing the people of what’s going on. Unless the news get censored then there is no hope.

NMC project day one
My homework this week was to make a blog about what my project is going to be about. The problem was that I have one too many ideas of what it should be on. First of all I know I’m going to be helping out with a class project as the camera person filming interviews for the NMC department. The next thing was the idea that I can use this work alongside with the work from my NMC 201 class and Wright out the story and the idea of my RPG (role play game) game; this idea would let me do work for two classes and be more focused on it. The next thing is make a rule book for my card game (dream come true) because as of yet I don’t have a complete or typed out rule book. The next thing that I was thinking of was making a web page for a television show or Anime. I also contemplated using this project as a workshop teaching people back at my home town about something new or useful being that not many people in my town have computers yet alone how to use basic programs like Photoshop and power point. The next thing that I thought about was the use this project in a way that will help others like make a documentary about a epidemic at Oregon State University but I couldn’t think of any that I could do a full exposé on it in a few weeks. In the next thing that thought was maybe make a Manga, but that would be too much work and I’m not that skilled in real Manga art work. In the end I figured that I would just have to run my ideas by my teacher first. I hope she like my ideas or can give me a good one; because to tell the truth I’m a little lost when it comes to fully understanding what this project should be about. The only thing that I know is that I can and will do that work for full heartily whatever it may be.

Profile: Vincenzo Luvineri
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vinnie_Paz
My assignment was to find any profile that really affected or changed my perspective on someone, I thought that I would do Kurt Cuban or Obama or maybe someone in sports team or the a CEO like Bill Gates. But then I thought, what if someone will do the same one I did? I could see it now a analyzes in class. and a discussion about two different people writing about the same person. I decided to stop thinking about it and put on my headphones and to play some music. As usual I walked home listening to several songs by my favorite band Jedi mind tricks (JMT). By the time I got to my door I still didn’t know who to make a blog about and I could not stop thinking about it. I went on line and had my music running in the background on shuffle and as always it went through more JMT songs. Then it hit me why not do a blog about the lead singer of this group I always listen to but know nothing of! So I started doing research I looked for him and found information about a guy named Vincenzo Edward Pazienza a boxer and I was captivated to think that he was a boxer turned singer. Then I found out that it was not the same person. So I dug deeper and could only find a Wikipedia page. What I found out was astonishing. Despite the fact that his lyrics are focus on religion, personal despair, the government, the war in Iraq and the one in Vietnam and several angry rants about the unjust legal system and the oppression of minorities. He was raised Catholic not Muslim! Along with that he had a lot more songs that I did not know of. He was also known as Ikon the Verbal Hologram; I thought the Verbal Hologram was a metaphor in his songs that talked about darkness in one self but it turns out it was about himself. It also turns out that he has metal plates in his mouth; but how or why they are in there I could not find out. I did more hunting and still ran short but then I went to youtube and found some videos of him but nothing that was not on the wiki page. The most surprising thing of all was about how. He did not look a thing like I thought he did. But still the knowledge I got helped me understand the music I listen to more. And the fact that they are an underground band makes it more likely that no one else did a blog about him for class.
Reaction: Innovations in Storytelling: Using Comics for Journalism
Article: http://www.pbs.org/idealab/2008/09/innovations-in-storytelling-using-comics-for-journalism005.html
I can see that use of comics in Journalism is exciting but with in this article I found a lot more questions than answers. First I don’t remember comics ever not being a part of real news I can open up any news paper and see that there is some form of political comic in it each and every day. so the use of comics in telling a real life situation is not a new one. . I was also wondering how much inside of the comic world this blogger went? I mean has he even read a Manga most are filled with parities of the real world, or are based on what would happen if some advances in technology go to far. Even in American comics this can be seen. And comics were also used in the time of war, I mean was that not the entire idea behind Captain America [my favorite super hero] ? The next question is what would happen to the world of comics if politics took over it? i can see it now a comic based off of john McCain and Barack Obama

To late... The next thing is what if it improves the quality of comics?I mean what if they take a real world problem and take it to the comic world. I did some research and found out that the comic world had already done that and it was the best thing that has ever happened to it with the Civil war:

I think the reason why I’m not liking this article is because the use of comics in Journalism has been around for as long as comics have existed; and this blog might have been better off being about the history of that even not the implication that it is a new meets old or a new way of looking at things because it is not. I took a look at it again and I found that it's saving grace was that at least it talked about the phenomenon because the truth is that his phenomena is so almost never talked about; but I understand how it can been skipped. Comics are not taken seriously at all and worst is how Manga goes hand in hand with that. They may have amazing story lines but no main stream American book chart takes it seriously. I would like to see a novel with as much depth and illustration as Death note the Manga or as much philosophy as Neon Genesis Evangelion. And the encouraging thing is that it seems like this might happen if journalist are starting to use it more.Maybe one day the skill of drawing will go hand and hand with writing.

Reaction: Announcing the Reporter Channel
Article: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rGkstFwJKa8
It is a victory for Freedom of the press. YouTube has announced the Reporter label and now people that do the smallest of local news can make it easier to distribute their news to their public. Without having to pay the fee if they wanted to post something on TV to reach people. This movement of news being broadcasted by anyone is so insuring it makes me prouder to say that I live in the united states where basic right are still allowed. What I mean by that is that we are free here to broadcast print and say what we want and let other people see and listen to what we have to say. And let them, say back what they think about us. Before I saw this I was starting to wonder how we as people are going to fight back the media monster censorship[not saying that all censorship is bad please do not take that out of content]? And the answer youtube movement. Although the counter point can be that youtube can delete your video if it is to offensive. Such as the story of a channel on youtube called “mrblacksmoviereviews” I subscribed to him when he started as a movie reviewer then his tone changed with the rise of the Viacom suet on youtube . video called “END OF INDEPENDENT MOVIE & GAME REVIEWS ON YOUTUBE” [1] the next was a video about the orphan works act. The next thing you know some of his videos that sheds light on subjects that the main stream media is not telling us get brought down, due to copyright infringement accusations. But it was too late to stop him in a few days he allowed his videos to be downloaded and hundreds of people started posting his videos. After this I felt like we as people can win against the media monster censorship. After this happened a few years ago it is encouraging to see that youtube is now playing nice and putting all the reporters in one spot to keep them under one category. Now that I think about it; it was because of “mrblacksmoviereviews” video I started researching about news that was not main stream. I found out about cancer curing tomatoes, rumored television shows such as the terminator live action series and the upcoming star wars live action series; and things about upcoming technologies and more about the war in Afghanistan that I needed to know. And I am still doing that to this day. Sometimes wondering off to Area 51 and illuminati research. On second thought now I am suspicious as to why youtube didn’t have this category before. Well I have no real answer for that other then saying even if a video gets taken down there are enough internet users out there to keep anything alive because no matter how hard the media monster censorship may try to keep the truth from the public they can’t silence all of us. So in the end I leave with this quote:
"This is our world now. The world of the electron and the switch; the beauty of the baud. We exist without nationality, skin color, or religious bias. You wage wars, murder, cheat, lie to us and try to make us believe it's for our own good, yet we're the criminals. Yes, I am a criminal. My crime is that of curiosity. I am a hacker, and this is my manifesto." "You may stop me, but you can't stop us all."

Reaction to: Friends, Until I Delete You
Reaction to: Friends, Until I Delete You
Article:
http://www.nytimes.com/2009/01/29/fashion/29facebook.html?_r=1&th&emc=th
I was sent a link to a New York Times web page in the fashion and styles section. It was an article about, nothing other than facebook! The article was about how burger king was giving away free whoppers if you did one thing for them and that thing was; delete 10 friends. As I was reading this article it started analyzing why you can and can’t delete friends! “deleting friends does not generate a notification of any sort, leaving members to discover they’ve been unfriended only when they find they no longer have access to someone’s profile.”It even sighted a book about facebook that was on the subject. Hoping that this was a sad joke I had to verify if this was a real web page or not. But it was as I feared it was real. As I finished the article it expressed several reasons on how this could be a bad thing say things such as.
“which was interesting to us because it felt like the virtual definition of a friend became something different than the friends that you’d want to hang out with.”
“It can be a jarring experience, especially considering that the person who dumped you at some point either requested you as a friend or accepted your request (on Facebook, that is how friends are made). But members understand that such selective discretion is critical to the social-networking ecosystem.”
It even went on to talk about a situation where some people got in to a fight and deleted each other and how it feels odd to add them again. After taking a step back I asked myself why do I find this so ridiculous and why do I feel like someone out there is thinking this is a ground breaking article? The first thing that came to mind was the difference between what real human interaction was and what facebook does to it. In short I feel facebook disconnects us as people and removes the responsibility of real interaction. In addition it makes the illusion of popularity. Even in this article it described someone with only 100 friends as “they’re trying to limit it to their intimates.” I look at that and asked myself what about the people that do not have facebook and have plenty of friends and do not need a social networking page? Or what about people who never log in but are known by everyone I think it is easy to say that Will Smith is popular and he doesn’t need a facebook to prove it. But the thing that got me the most was how serious deleting was taken by this article, the thoughts I have on this is; why add them if you are not going to keep them on? Another is don’t you think they would drop you if they didn’t care either? I took another step back and asked myself why do I keep a face book or would I care if I got deleted? The first answer is, to me facebook is like a digital address book that you do not need to update. And you have people there that maybe one day I will need to get a hold of them or they will need to get a hold of me from anything from going to the movies to help with Spanish or math homework and the more people you have the more resources you got and the more help you can give. And now going back to “limit it to their intimates.” What if no one you kept as an intimate can help you; do you think it is a good idea to have deleted your old roommate that was a math major when you need help now? Or what if someone had a scholarship opportunity that they knew you would be great for but can’t seem to find you on their friends list. And would I care? The answer is no if they feel like I’m not important enough then its fine. What if they deleted you for a burger? Well to that I would have to say that just add me again and tell me it is not personal I was just hungry, and we can both find ways to take burger king for as many whoppers as possible. What if it was personal? Then it goes beyond the spectrum of facebook it goes in to the real world and the factors that lead to getting deleted must have justified it. But whoever deleted me made up with me later we can add each other again, is that not what making up is all about?

Presidential Inauguration Reaction
See the Video here:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Cj4jtdB5oV8
In my class NMC 301 we were asked to scout around campus asking fellow students what their take on Brock Obama’s Inauguration mint to them and what sort of media did they use to view the inauguration. As you can see from the video their were many different opinions and ways the students looked at the inauguration. No one person thought of it the way I had, along with that no one person viewed the inauguration the same way. They varied from online feeds to televise to word of mouth each a form of media each a form of communication, each telling the same story; of the first African American to take the office of president of the United States.
To me the Inauguration was a historic event that will not be forgotten. This was the second inauguration that I have seen. And this time the people where happy to welcome their new president. My memories of the last one I saw bring back coverage of booing and eggs being tossed and a wide protest. The years that followed that inauguration where filled with many unfortunate circumstances that everyone says could have been handled better. I remember my mother telling me that George W. Bush’s dad went to war and she thought that George W. Bush would do the same. When the elections came around I didn’t care too much about it the only thing I cared about was that I was to be the first in my family to vote in a American election. Being that I’m a first generation. But as I started to contemplate who I would vote for and what party I’d support I started to get in to politics. After reading the Audacity Of Hope I became more involved with the election I started (along with many other people) to feel like good news was on the horizon. And when Obama Won I felt like we all help put him there.
I use Hulu.com to see the inauguration this is an official site for NBC and FOX for shows and movies. This web page had a countdown. And I got up a 6am to see the festivities from the start. But I could only but up with fox news for so long so I watched the rest of it on T.V.I also use facebook to chat with other friends that where up at the same time.
